Customs officers at the Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint seized illegal currency worth over 500,000 euros in a factory cavity of a delivery truck semi-trailer, the Customs Agency press centre said. A 36-year-old Turkish national has been charged with smuggling 174,950 euros, 312,500 pounds sterling and 390 Scottish pounds, or a total of 534,037 euros. The man was travelling from Germany to Turkey via Bulgaria. An investigation is being conducted under the supervision of the Haskovo District Prosecutor's Office.
