Attempts by the Ukrainian army to advance towards the occupied Luhansk region continue. On Saturday and Sunday, fighting took place around 12 key settlements along the front in the district, the Ukrainian command reported, quoted by UNIAN. On the left bank of the Dnieper, the Russian occupiers continue to loot and take out industrial equipment and looted civilian property with tires.

The fighting in Donbas remains the most severe, where Russian forces are trying to advance to Bakhmut and Avdeevka around the clock, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced.

Since the start of the war, Russia has fired about 4,700 missiles at Ukraine, Zelensky said. "Hundreds of our cities were practically burned down, thousands of people were killed, hundreds of thousands were deported to Russia. And millions have left Ukraine to seek refuge in other countries," Zelensky said in a video message to the International Organization of La Francophonie, whose representatives are meeting at Djerba Island in Tunisia.

In 9 months of war, Russia has lost over 8,000 tanks and armored personnel carriers in Ukraine. The data refers only to confirmed losses of equipment, the Oryx project reported. 4,927 units were destroyed, 198 damaged, 300 abandoned, and 2,619 captured. Russian losses in tanks are 1,504, with 522 captured. In the case of armored vehicles, the losses are 2,466, of which 798 are captured.
