Billionaire Elon Musk is expected to visit Belogradchik on April 23, BTA learned from caretaker Minister of Tourism Ilin Dimitrov. Minister Dimitrov invited Musk to visit Bulgaria in a tweet and Facebook post, after the world's richest man commented via his Twitter account on a photo of the Kaleto fortress in Belogradchik.

"Pretty sure that was in Elden Ring," tweeted Elon Musk, founder of one of the world's most successful companies, sharing a photo of the Belogradchik fortress and the rocks surrounding it.

The founder of one of the most successful companies in the world was impressed by a photo by popular Bulgarian photographer Vladislav Terziiski. The mysterious silhouettes of the Bulgarian landmark apparently prompted him to compare it to the fantasy world of the computer game.
The Belogradchik Rocks and Fortress are among Bulgaria's 100 national tourist sites. The fortress is a cultural monument of national importance and one of the best preserved fortresses in the country. It was built in the 3rd century AD by the Romans to guard the strategic roads crossing the region.
