For the third consecutive year, priests and their relatives donated blood at the Military Medical Academy in Sofia on the occasion of the Day of the Christian Family marked on November 21. "In Christianity, blood is always the carrier of life," said Father Dilyan who serves at the St. Elijah the Prophet church in Knyazhevo residential district, the BNR’s reporter Elena Beykova said.
The blood donation centre at the Military Medical Academy is the smallest in Bulgaria. Between 700 and 800 people donate blood there on a monthly basis.
