Cizitens protesting against the return of paper ballots blocked traffic in front of the National Assembly in Sofia. According to protesters, the return of paper ballots will result in a large number of invalid ballot papers and vote control. Protesters chanted "Mafia out".

The protest was organised by the Justice for All initiative. "Voting will be manipulated again if paper ballots are used. Election sham cannot happen if voting machines are used", protesters told the Bulgarian Natioanal Radio’s reporter Tanya Milusheva.
