Bulgaria reports drop in number of Covid-19 cases, 5% positivity rate

219 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 4,272 tests performed in the country in the past day, a positivity rate of 5.13%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

The number of active coronavirus cases in the country is 4,577.

387 patients are being treated in hospital, 32 of them in intensive care.

5 patients have died over the past 24 hours, 140 are reported as recovered.

271 doses of vaccine have been administered in the past day.

All regions of Bulgaria are in the so-called blue zone for coronavirus incidence, which is why there are no restrictive measures in place at educational establishments, sporting and commercial facilities. However, mask-wearing is recommended indoors, especially at medical facilities, on public transport etc., as is physical distancing and frequent use of hand sanitizers.
