Bulgaria sees four-fold rise in daily Covid-19 cases

286 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 3,235 tests performed, 213 up on the previous day. 8.1% of the tests returned positive result, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. More than 60.8% of the new Covid-19 cases are among the unvaccinated. The number of new cases decreased with 135 to 3,828.

 80 people have been hospitalized in the past day. 81.25% of them were not inoculated against Covid-19. 358 patients with an established coronavirus infection are being treated in hospital, as 32 are in intensive care units. 

7 Covid-related deaths have been registered in the past 24 hours. 414 people have been reported cured.

198 vaccine doses were administered on Thursday.
