In 2022, the airports in Varna and Burgas served over 3 million passengers

Varna and Burgas airports statistics for 2022 show a recovery. Last year the two airports served 3.1 million passengers and over 23.7 thousand flights. Most passengers in Varna came from Germany, Bulgaria, the UK, Austria and Poland, while in Burgas - from Poland, the UK, the Czech Republic, Germany and Israel. Both airports ended the year with a 59% increase in passengers served compared to 2021, data of concession company Fraport Twin Star Airport Management shows, cited by reporter Mila Mladenova.
