“The most logical thing would be for the President to hand the third mandate (for forming a government – editorial note) to the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF),” the deputy chair of the parliamentary group of the MRF Jordan Tzonev said for the BNR.

According to Tzonev, it is the party with the most clear-cut Euro-Atlantic orientation, and what it has to say is of enormous interest to the whole of society. Jordan Tzonev stated further that, for 30 years, the ethnic Turks and other ethnic groups have regarded the MRF as the entity that represents them politically. “Why isn’t anyone conceding the possibility that the President could decide, amidst this acute political confrontation, to hand the responsibility for forming a cabinet to the party which the people have assigned the third place to?” Jordan Tzonev sayid and added that not mentioning the third biggest party as a possible mandate-holder is a serious attempt at stigmatizing the MRF. Tzonev stated further that the movement was prepared to nominate an expert programme cabinet with clear-cut responsibilities.
