"Everything in my hands" of GREESH takes us out of the routine

2022 brought us a new role of a well-known Bulgarian musician. After a long successful career as the frontman of a number of musical projects in Bulgaria and England, the versatile multi-instrumentalist Grisha Georgiev embarked on a solo adventure.

His bright presence was equally at home in the alternative band Matakka/Portokal, the experimental duo Dokle & Greesh with Boryana Dokle and the powerhouse rock trio Saint Electrics, and more recently as bassist for No More Many More. It is no coincidence that the three members of Saint Electrics - the guitarist Miro Ivanov, Deyan Dragiev - aka Dakata at the drums and Grisha Georgiev as bassist and frontman - in 2017 were chosen by the selection committee of music editors and music producers of the 48th edition of the competition for new Bulgarian pop and rock song of BNR "Spring" to represent Bulgaria at the Eurosonic festival in Gröningen, the Netherlands.

Here he is now, as ‎GREESH, with two solo songs in less than a year - the debut ‎funky groove single "Game" and the new one "Everything in my hands".‎ The idea for both songs dates back to 2019, when the world was still unaware of the ordeals it was about to face such as Covid-19 and the war in Ukraine. This is probably one of the reasons for their cheerful sound, apart from the typical energy invested in any piece of music created by GREESH.

The songs are entirely the work of the author in terms of music, text and arrangement, and for the production, Grisha has once again collaborated with Konstantin Raydovski (Raido) - a musician and senior sound engineer at the BNR, the person behind the sound of bands like JEREMY? and others.

"Everything in my hands" is here to take us out of the routine and trivialities of everyday life with its fresh sound and suggestive hints in the lyrics: "I go to bed late, I sleep, I quickly get up early. I love life and I have no right to lose, I am fully aware: "Everything is in my hands. I work hard, I get a little, I read the forecast in you, and it's a pity, I realize - not everything is in my hands". It was recorded in 2022 in the Druzhba community center in the town of Harmanli, Southeastern Bulgaria, as GREESH once again found a field for the expression of all his talents, recording himself the drums, bass, guitar, synthesizer and, of course, the vocals .

The colourful video to the song featuring GREESH as its protagonist was filmed in September in the streets of Sofia by the tandem Vasil Stefanov and Stefka Nikolova.

Both the video and the song give us the urge to spread our wings and sing along with ‎GREESH: "I am flying and flying, high above the city...".
