Parliamentary ad hoc committee to investigate whether Nexo has financed Bulgarian parties

The MPs adopted a decision to establish an ad hoc committee which is expected to uncover all facts and circumstances regarding the activities of Nexo, Nexo Capital and persons connected to them as they are suspected of illegal activities, including relations with individuals and organizations financing terrorism and organized crime, and financial support to political parties and other legal entities in Bulgaria.

The draft decision was tabled by GERB party. The committee consists of 14 members, two from each parliamentary group and will function for a period of one month. GERB MP Daniel Mitov was elected as chairman of the committee.
