Flu epidemic affects several regions of Bulgaria

Health authorities declared flu epidemic in Plovdiv and the district, starting today until January 30. At this stage, however, classes in schools have not stopped. Epidemic has already been declared in Pazardzhik, Lovech, Gabrovo and Stara Zagora regions.

A flu epidemic is declared tomorrow in Sofia region and Dobrich. Students go on flu break. According to data of the Regional Health Inspectorate, Sofia-city is still far from the approximate threshold for declaring a flu epidemic. The morbidity for the first three days of this week is 1,156 people per 10,000 people, while the threshold is over 2,700 per 10,000 people.
