"We continue the change" and "Democratic Bulgaria" attack amendments to Electoral Code before the Constitutional Court

The parliamentary groups of "We Continue the Change" and "Democratic Bulgaria" have filed a complaint with the Constitutional Court over the changes in the Electoral Code.

"First of all, we dispute the introduction of a choice for a part of the people as to how to vote - whether through a paper ballot or through the newly introduced ballot printed by a machine," explained MP Nikola Minchev from "We continue the change".

He added that voters in a section of less than 300 voters will not have the right to vote, which is an unequal treatment of citizens.

The second reason for the complaint before the Constitutional Court is "turning machine voting into printing ballots".

The petitioners were skeptical that the court would rule before the upcoming parliamentary elections on April 2.
