It is possible that France will provide fighter jets to Ukraine

Ukraine can receive weapons from France, but must first state that any weapons "will not be of an escalatory nature" and that "there will be no possibility of strikes on Russian territory, but will only be in aid of resistance efforts." Only under these conditions would France agree to make a decision to support the Ukrainian side, but without weakening the capacity of the French armed forces.

This became clear after talks between Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and French President Emmanuel Macron, who warned of the risk of conflict escalation.

In an extensive interview with the "Novosti" agency, Deputy Minister Sergei Ryabkov stated that Moscow was conscientiously and fully fulfilling all the quantitative and qualitative limitations stipulated in the Treaty on Strategic Offensive Weapons. At the same time, he accused Washington of violating the preamble of the bilateral agreement which states that the countries "are working to strengthen new strategic relations based on mutual trust, openness, predictability and cooperation."

According to Ryabkov, the continuation of consultations on the treaty is objectively impossible at a time when "the united forces of the West have already moved from a hybrid war against Russia to an almost real one", reported BNR correspondent in Moscow Angel Grigorov.

Meanwhile, the new United States ambassador to Russia, Lynne Tracy, presented her credentials to the State Department and officially took office. The US embassy in Moscow assures that the new ambassador will pay "special attention to the dialogue between the two capitals in a period of unprecedented tension" and that he will ensure the fair treatment of all Americans detained in Russia, BNR correspondent reports.
