Efforts are being made to help the survivors who remain under the rubble. Rescue teams from around the world are arriving in Turkey and Syria to join the search operations. So far, more than 8,000 survivors have been pulled from the debris. Bulgarian rescuers are already taking part in the rescue operations, said the BNT's correspondent in Turkey Ayshe Sali.

Tour guide Ilhan Karabulut told the BNR details about the situation in the Turkish district of Kahramanmarash. In his words, the roads on higher ground were cut off. "The roads have collapsed after the earthquakeespecially those in the mountain towns and villages. According to Ilhan Karabulut, the authorities have made arrangements to evacuate the people in poor health condition by air.
