The rock machines from SEVI celebrated 13 years on stage with a concert and a new book about their journey.
Set up in 2010, the band managed to quickly gain popularity. SEVI have three studio albums and more than 13 video singles. They have warmed up world-famous bands such as Europe, Evanescence, Black Stone Cherry, Tom Keifer, Epica and have been part of the program of the biggest festivals in Bulgaria. In 2022, the musicians joined Hardline and Johnny Gioeli's European tour in Switzerland and appeared as special guests on part of Queensrÿche's Geoff Tate tour in Germany.
Among the surprises to celebrate the group's 13th birthday was the premiere of the long-awaited second part of the book The Price of Being Yourself. It comes out nearly 7 years after the first part of SEVI's diaries, subtitled "The Force".
"This is a book for all people who would like to push forward their own boundaries and dare to be themselves in a world where patterns chase us from every corner. A book about the power of being yourself, even when you the least see the light, for the overwhelming desire to give yourself completely to art, simply for its own sake!", the band members share about "The Price of Being Yourself" - Part II.
With unceasing energy, the musicians are working on SEVI's fourth album, which they will present this year.
The song "Drowning" is a single from the band's upcoming fourth album and is the third joint project with American artist Johnny Gioeli, best known as the vocalist of guitarist Axel Rudi Pell and the band Hardline. also as a voice from a popular video game.
Here is what the frontwoman of SEVI, Svetlana Bliznakova, says about Drowning:
"Despite the negative note in the title, the message of the song is more about the power of love that can lift us up even in the most difficult times."
"I drown in the middle of nowhere –
I’m fallin’
Nothing ever will be the same
But I will need you to save me!
Come and save me
Please,
Come and save me!"
