Bulgarian citizens are among the most vulnerable in the EU and NATO to foreign disinformation, a Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD) analysis showed. According to CSD, pro-Kremlin disinformation has been very strong over the past year because of the war in Ukraine, and it has been spread both in traditional media and on social networks, including by people in high positions in the legislative, executive and even judicial branches.
Russia's embassies are extremely active in Romania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Greece and Bulgaria, the CSD told BNR.
