Bulgaria has scrapped more than 2.3 million vaccine doses

Bulgaria has already scrapped more than 1.3 million doses of the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine against Covid-19. So far, more than 2.3 million doses of vaccines against Covid-19 have been scrapped, caretaker Minister of Health Assen Medzhidiev said. 

On this occasion, Minister Medzhidiev held a video conference with the European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Stella Kyriakides. In 2023, Bulgaria is to scrap nearly 2.8 million vaccine doses, Assen Medzhidiev told Stella Kyriakides. In addition to these, more than 650,000 doses are to expire in January and February 2024. It is already clear at this stage that these quantities will also be scrapped, Minister Medzhidiev said.
