Giant martenitsa made by children decorates Bulgaria's Silistra

A giant martenitsa, 2.05 m high and weighing 3 kg, already adorns Svoboda Square in Silistra, northeastern Bulgaria. It has the colors of the Bulgarian national flag and was made by the children and teachers from the Center for Special Educational Needs in the town. 

The center's services are used by 43 children aged 5 to 19 years. 

They will offer institutions to buy the giant creation so they can renovate the center's sandbox. There, children will undergo therapy, play, draw, have the opportunity to express themselves spontaneously, express their inner world, one's emotions", director Neli Marinova told BNR correspondent in Silistra Nezabravka Kirova..
