Project to support the social integration of Roma women

Photo: Facebook /LARGO Association

The social campaign "I have a dream" of the Kyustendil LARGO association aims at empowering Roma women. The project establishes a network of local community training centres in the towns of Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Botevgrad, Dupnitsa, Rakitovo and Radomir, where training and educational meetings are held with women from Roma communities.
The meetings will encourage Roma women and young girls to have the confidence and motivation to participate in solving important problems in our society. The project also aims to stop the trend of Roma girls dropping out of school early and entering into early marriages.
