We do not need any vaccines against Covid-19, minister of health says

The Covid situation is over, at the moment the population does not need any vaccines against coronavirus, Minister of Health in the caretaker government Assen Medjidiev said in an interview with public service TV BNT.

In his words, this country is obligated to buy enormous amounts of vaccine against Covid-19 up until 2025, but has already contacted the European Commission to insist that the contract be terminated. More than 2.8 million doses of vaccine have been discarded this year alone, Minister Medjidiev said.

Assen Medjidiev also said the first medical helicopter for emergency medical aid is to arrive in the country in mid-December, and that the documents have been signed with an Italian company for the delivery of 6 air ambulances.  Meanwhile, the training has started of the doctors for the air ambulances. They  are to be trained to render medical assistance within two months.
