Bulgaria and Israel to intensify cooperation in IT and communications

Bulgarian exports to Israel show growth of nearly 36% in 2022. This became clear at a meeting in Israel between the Ministers of Economy and Industry of Bulgaria and Israel Nikola Stoyanov and Nir Barkat. 
Exports from Bulgaria account for about 80% of bilateral trade, which to date amounts to nearly 400 million USD. "Given our geographical proximity and the rich history between our two countries, these are very low figures," Stoyanov stressed. It was agreed that Bulgaria and Israel would organise a business forum for companies in the field of information and communication technologies as a concrete step to promote business ties. Both ministers identified innovation and high technology as one of the areas with the greatest potential for joint cooperation between the two countries.
