Today, the caretaker cabinet is to present the electronic platform for comparing prices in retail chains, said Deputy Premier and Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev. He explained that the retailers are willing to publish their prices on the platform, which will lead to greater transparency and traceability.

The electronic platform is expected to contain information about the prices of 50 products. "We asked the retail chains to publish their lowest prices, not the prices of their promotional products", Minister Alexiev said.

There will be sanctions if there is a discrepancy between the data submitted by the retailer and the price of the item in the shop.
