On March 26 Bulgaria celebrates the Day of Thrace. This year the observances mark the 110th anniversary of the Siege of Adrianople. The celebrations began with a memorial service at the St. Nicholas of Sofia church. After the memorial service, Vice President Iotova and the President of the Union of Thracian Societies Krasimir Premyanov laid flowers and wreaths at the Monument to Exarch Antim I in St. Nicholas of Sofia park.
