“The most important result of this election is that we are going to have a parliament,” President Rumen Radev stated in Plovdiv, in a comment on the results of the election for the 49th National Assembly of Bulgaria.

“I hope to see this parliament start work sooner – resuming its legislative activity and providing a sustainable solution to the political crisis by forming a majority by consensus around clear policies, aims and priorities, and forming a functioning regular government. That is up to the parties,” Rumen Radev added.

“My administration is in constant contact with the Central Election Commission and the moment the legally established procedure is completed and the names of the members of the new parliament are made public, I shall immediately issue a decree to convene the National Assembly at the earliest possible time,” the president said.
