The Ivan Mihailov Cultural Centre Association in Bitola sent an open letter to the President of North Macedonia. The members of the association, which has been deleted by the Central Registry of the Republic of North Macedonia, insist on participating in the drafting of the proposal for amendments to North Macedonia’s constitution that would allow the inclusion of Bulgarians in that country‘s supreme law, in line with the commitment made during the negotiations with the EU.
"Nothing can obliterate the fact that there is a Bulgarian issue in North Macedonia that can only be solved with the instruments of democracy and the rule of law. ... We bveleive that you understand that you cannot discuss our status behind our backs and claim that you are looking for a solution," the letter reads, BTA reported.
