A record number of Bulgarian students (442) participated in the Space Camp Turkey 2023 competition. 65 children received full or partial funding. Space Camp Turkey in Izmir is one of two space training centers in the world, modeled after the American space agency NASA, and the only one in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
The training lasts one week and is conducted entirely in English by specialists. "The goal of the competition is to support all Bulgarian children who want to be trained in the field of astronautics, no matter where they are," said Alexander Angelov, manager of the Center for Creative Education - the organization that has been a partner of the program for 16 years
