The National Union of Agricultural Cooperatives in Bulgaria supports the Ministry of Agriculture's proposal for a temporary ban on Ukrainian imports of grain and agricultural produce in Bulgaria, the Union announced at its national meeting in Arbanasi village, Veliko Tarnovo Municipality.
However, the farmers said the measure was long overdue as their warehouses were full and the new crop would be harvested in a month and a half. The government is expected to consider the agriculture ministry's proposal for a temporary ban on imports of Ukrainian grain at its meeting tomorrow.
