Sergei Lavrov, Antonio Guterres to discuss the Ukraine Black Sea grain export deal

Poland has reached an agreement on restarting transit of Ukrainian grains through its territory as of Friday, Polish Agriculture Minister Robert Telus saidq Reuter reported. According to Minister Telus, transits would be monitored and sealed. However, the ban on imports of Ukrainian food products to Poland would remain, the country’s Minister of Economic Development and Technology Waldemar Buda said.

On April 19, Romania will also start negotiations with Kiev on controlling imports of Ukrainian grain and agricultural products.Ukraine and the United Nations arе causing difficulties with inspections of ships moving grain from Ukrainian ports and the registration of new vessels, the RIA news agency cited the Russian foreign ministry. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will discuss the Ukraine Black Sea grain export deal with U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York next week. Russia has warned that the outlook for the deal allowing the safe wartime export of grain and fertilizer from Ukrainian Black Sea ports beyond May 18 is "not so great", Reuters reported.
