The BSP will present its own legislative program, as according to them "important issues that concern Bulgarian society" are missing in the programs proposed by GERB-SDS and "We Continue the Change" - Democratic Bulgaria. This was announced by BSP leader Korneliya Ninova.
Part of the changes planned by the Socialists include increasing penalties for drunk driving, as well as for migrant trafficking and child pornography. The party has also prepared a package of legislative proposals in the social sphere, which envisage that the minimum monthly salary will become 50% of the average from July 1 this year instead of January 1, 2024, as well as exempting young families up to 26 years of age from paying tax, increasing of maternity benefits for the second year and pension reforms.
