The defense ministers representing countries supporting Ukraine’s war efforts meet at the Ramstein military base in Germany today. The main topic in the 11th consecutive meeting of the Ramstein format will be military support for Kiev. Ukraine hopes to press ahead with its request to receive 4th generation military aircraft, additional air defense systems and armored vehicles.

At the forum, Spanish Minister Margarita Robles will announce a new package of military aid that Madrid will send. Estonia will also announce that it is sending military electronics, millions of rounds of ammunition and significant quantities of projectiles.

US President Joe Biden had a phone call with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. The two discussed the French leader's recent visit to China, the White House reported. The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait. In addition, the presidents reiterated their firm support for Ukraine, which is fighting against brutal Russian aggression, the White House said in a statement.
