Bulgaria supports an enhanced commitment by NATO, guided by the understanding that NATO’s Eastern flank and the Black Sea region are an important segment of Euro-Atlantic area security,” said Chief of Defence Admiral Emil Eftimov at a defence forum in Sofia.
Deputy Defence Minister Teodora Genchovska stated that Bulgaria was currently developing a national defence strategy with a special focus on the Black Sea.
