Increased holiday traffic in Bulgaria

Traffic on the country's main roads is heavy at the start of the long weekend, as May 1 is a public holiday in the country. One of the busiest routes, as usually, is the highway to Greece, which opens its summer season on May 1.

On the border with Romania, traffic is also busy - there are traffic bottlenecks at Vidin BCP and Kardam BCP for outbound trucks, the Interior Ministry said.
