The council on acquisition of Bulgarian citizenship has checked over 1,000 files for the past 4 months, Minister of Justice Krum Zarkov said in Parliament. He spoke to the MPs at the request of the "Vazrazhdane" party, which signaled that law firms arrange fake birth certificates and Bulgarian diplomas.
Those providing false documents have the same contact persons in Bulgaria, which speaks of organization and it is being investigated, Zarkov said.
