National Statistical Institute: Average salary has gone up by 17.3% during the first quarter

During the first quarter of 2023, the average monthly salary in Bulgaria has gone up by 17.3% compared to the same period of last year, National Statistical Institute data indicate. The steepest rise is in transport, the mining industry, finance and insurance. In March, the average gross monthly salary amounted to EUR 999. The highest salaries are in information and communications – EUR 2,343 a month – and the lowest in the hospitality industry – EUR 562 a month.
