Protest against road accidents held in Sofia

Under the slogan "Enough tolerance", relatives of people killed and injured in road accidents protested near the National Assembly calling for an end to the war on the roads of Bulgaria. Citizens who gather every night on "Slivnitsa" Boulevard, where an 18-year-old driver recently killed two young people, also attended the protest.

Protesters briefly blocked the Eagles’ Bridge and demanded that the state authorities take measures. They propose that alcohol and drug use and gross violation of traffic laws be regarded as intentional crimes. Organizers insist that their demands be met within one week. They are threatening to block roads and major cities. There will be civil disobedience as well, protesters said.
