The Bulgarian Olympic Committee celebrates its 100th anniversary in the presence of IOC President Thomas Bach

The President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach arrives in Bulgaria on Wednesday for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee. He is expected to meet with President Rumen Radev. Thomas Bach will attend the opening of the exhibition "100 years Bulgarian Olympic Committee" in front of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, as well as the official ceremony at the Central Military Club.

The Bulgarian Olympic Committee was founded on March 30, 1923 for the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris. Its first president was General Eftim Kitanchev who is said to be among Bulgaria’s best equestrian athletes.
