“We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria are in a mirror-image position with that of GERB/SDS, and if the first mandate fails, then the second mandate will fail too,” GERB leader Boyko Borissov told reporters in parliament and went on:
“If it doesn’t happen with the first mandate, with what we have been hearing from the other parties, it isn’t going to happen with the second mandate either. We very much insist on a formula being found so there can be a regular cabinet. What can I do by myself? With 69 MPs – that’s it!” said Boyko Borissov, and added that there is no way a cabinet can be formed on the third mandate either which he assumed would again go to the Bulgarian Socialist Party.
Even though We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria stated they will not support a cabinet formed by us, we shall nominate an expert government with the judicial reform being crucial, said on her part GERB’s prime minister designate Mariya Gabriel in parliament.
