Bulgarian businessman Krasimir Kamenov, a.k.a. Kuro and three other people have been killed at his home in the Republic of South Africa, public service TV BNT reports.
At this time the Bulgarian institutions are neither confirming nor denying the information. Kamenov is wanted by Interpol on a red notice, at the request of the Bulgarian authorities on suspicion of death threats, extortion and murder. The prosecutor’s office is also accusing him of complicity in conspiracy by other individuals for discrediting high-ranking magistrates and police officers.
“I made myself clear two years ago – what is being done with the Bulgarian prosecutor’s office and the Bulgarian judiciary will lead, and has led to a boom in crime, and we are being taken back to the years when organized crime was rife. Isn’t that so,” said Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev in answer to a question whether there was any connection between the killing of Krasimir Kamenov-Kuro and the attempt on his own life, BNR’s Maria Fileva reports.
