Just 2,184 people have pensions ranging between EUR 1,500 and 1,700 a month, and 341 – pensions over the EUR 1,700 ceiling. By law, the ceiling does not apply to persons who have occupied the position of president and vice president of the Republic of Bulgaria, president of the National Assembly, prime minister or Constitutional Court judge.
