Anglers compete at the Devil's Bridge on the Arda

Nearly 50 anglers, пen, women, teenagers and children, will participate in a fishing competition near the Devil's Bridge on the Arda River, BTA news agency reports. 


The event starts with a hike from the town of Ardino to the Devil's Bridge on June 17. According to the municipality, more than 50 fish species inhabit the waters of the Arda. Organisers say they will not plant river with fish. There will be special awards for the anglers who caught the smallest and the biggest fish, as well as for Jinx of the competition.


The Devil's Bridge is one of the most visited tourist sites in the Rhodope municipality, attracting hundreds of tourists daily in the summer months.
