Due to a cancelled flight, 200 passengers from the Wizz Air flight to Milan (Bergamo Airport) at 6:35 a.m. this morning did not take off from Sofia Airport. They went through the check-in at Terminal 1 and had to wait several hours to be taken to the plane.

It is clear from the website of Sofia Airport that the flight has been cancelled due to unscheduled technical maintenance by the airline.

In an official statement sent to the media, the airline has offered several options for compensation. Passengers who should have been on board can choose between an alternative flight, subject to availability; a full refund of the amount paid or 120% of the originally paid fare as a credit to their WIZZ account.
