Bulgarian exports continue to grow and in 2022 reached 50.25 billion US dollars, or 21% more in comparison to 2021, according to an analysis by the Bulgarian Industrial Association. Bulgaria has a positive trade balance in 7 out of 10 leading export markets, including Germany, Italy, France, Belgium. The biggest negative balance is with Russia, China, Turkey and the Netherlands. Raw materials and energy carriers make up 1/3 of exports, but the export of electrical equipment, electronics, machines and devices is also on the rise.
