The musicians from B.T.R band are to start their summer tour “Musical and Rock” with a concert in the town of Veliko Tarnovo (Central North Bulgaria) on June 27. The event kicks off at 19.00 pm at The Music and Drama Theater “Konstantin Kisimov”. The orchestra of the The Music and Drama Theater “Konstantin Kisimov” with conductor Maestro Georgi Patrikov will also participate in the band’s summer music tour. The lead singer of the rock band Atanas Penev, Teodora Petrova, Miryana Kalushkova and Gergana Stoyanova are to participate in the programme as soloists. Actor Tsvetelin Ilchev will be the host of the music performance.
In the first part, the rock musicians perform fragments of best-loved musicals, together with the theatre’s orchestra. The second part features evergreen hits by B.T.R. orchestrated for rock band and symphony orchestra. The joint musical project “Musical and Rock” of B.T.R. and the The Music and Drama Theater “Konstantin Kisimov” started one year ago. So far, it has been presented in 20 Bulgarians towns. More than 8,000 people attended the concerts. During the summer tour, artists and musicians will perform on outdoor stages and theatres across the country.
Recently, B.T.R. band presented the acoustic version of the song “Puzzle”. The song is a soundtrack to the comedy series “The Life of Zhoro”. B.T.R.’ lead singer Nasko Penev and his daughter Martina Peneva met at the filming location. Actress Martina Peneva is entrusted with the role of Albena in the Bulgarian comedy series “The Life of Zhoro”. The video to the song contains footage from the film series. Nasko Penev and Slavcho Nikolov perform the acoustic version of “Puzzle”. Slavcho authored the music and the lyrics to the song. Liusi Ilarionov is director of the film and the video.
The song “Puzzle” from the band’s 13th album will be performed in a third version on October 13 in Hall No 1 at the National Palace of Culture during the concert marking the 30th anniversary of B.T.R. band. The symphony orchestra of the Music and Drama Theater “Konstantin Kisimov” will also participate at the event. For the first time, fans of B.T.R. will hear songs from the band’s 30-year history in new arrangements adapted for rock band and symphony orchestra.
