Turkiyе committed to cooperate actively for the reduction of the migrant flow towards Bulgaria

Bulgaria’s Premier Nikolay Denkov and Turkiye’s Ambassador in Sofia Aylin Sekizkok agreed to hold a regional round table on the problems of investors in Northeast Bulgaria. Turkish companies are among the largest employers in the region, but have problems with the visa regime and the shortage of qualified workforce.

 Ambassador Sekizkok said that the Turkish business is interested in the modernization of the Bulgarian military industry and the rearmament of the Bulgarian army. Premier Denkov and Ambassador Sekizkok paid special attention to the protection of the common border and the curbing of illegal migration. Turkiye has undertaken to cooperate actively for the reduction of the migrant flow todards Bulgaria. Premier Denkov promised that ways will be sought to ease the transit traffic of Turkish nationals through the country.
