According to the Ministry of Defence and the Defense Information Service, there is currently no danger that the war will spread beyond the borders of Ukraine to NATO territory. This was confirmed by Deputy Minister of Defence Atanas Zapryanov at a briefing. He also pointed out that there is no danger that the Bulgarian army will be left without ammunition if it meets Ukraine's requests for assistance.

In his words, Bulgaria will release stockpiles that have been stored for a long time by the Armed Forces and are at the end of their service life. The provision of ammunition to Ukraine, in accordance with the decision of the Parliament of 9 December 2022 and of July this year to accelerate this process, will take place only after VMZ "Sopot" (the largest armaments factory in Bulgaria) delivers new ammunition to Bulgaria's army under a contract with the Ministry of Defence.
