Bulgaria’s football champion Ludogorets was defeated 2:0 by FC Ballkani (Kosovo) in the first match of the first preliminary round of the Champions League. FC Ballkani attacked vigorously and scored a goal in the first half. The champions of Kosovo netted the ball for the second time in the 55th minute. The Kosovars missed many opportunities to score more goals until the end of the match. The rematch will be played at Huvepharma Arena on July 19.

"Something broke in our game. Our biggest problem was the ball retention, as every second or third pass was wrong. FC Ballkani played good football and I congratulate them on their victory. We must not repeat this mistake in Razgrad" the head coach of Ludogorets Ivaylo Petev said after the loss.
