Culturama 2023 festival closes with photos of Sofia's wild birds

The photo exhibition "Wild Sofia - Birds" at the summer stage of Cabana cinema in the park space of the National Palace of Culture, draws attention to the bird world.
Feathered species in all their diversity are the most important and eloquent indicators of the quality of life in a city, say the organizers from the Cultural Perspectives. The exhibition is the last event in the programme of the Culturama 2023 summer festival and can be viewed from 18 July to 15 August. It is a continuation of a theme first presented by the Regional Museum of History in Sofia in 2020, when a collective of photographers and artists presented their artworks featuring both familiar and less often seen animals.
The message of "Wild Sofia - Birds" is aimed at the inhabitants of the big city who, in their quest to improve green spaces, destroy the habitats of wild species.
"The impulse that provoked us to show this exhibition, in which we put important societal issues and ideas for small steps towards change in contrast with the images of these extraordinary creatures, is the theme of global warming caused by harmful emissions, which threatens the future of all living things on our planet," say the organisers.
This is the third exhibition in this year's festival, following "Birds - Heaven on Earth" and "Nostalgia for Heaven".
