Between first and second reading of the 2023 state budget, GERB-SDS will submit proposals for pay rises in various sectors to the tune of nearly BGN 200 million (EUR 100 million). According to the Deputy Chairperson of the Palriamentary Group of GERB-SDS, Denitsa Sacheva, there are sectors where salaries are lagging behind inflation. Speaking to journalists in Parliament, after the meeting with the leadership of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB), Denitsa Sacheva pointed out that the trade unions' demands for higher wages are fair.

After a meeting with representatives of the Confederation of Labor "Podkrepa", the leader of "BSP for Bulgaria" Kornelia Ninova also pointed out that the demands of the people employed in the public sector, including the Bulgarian National Radio, are fair, because they cannot live normally on their current incomes.

Later, after a meeting with the leadership of CITUB and representatives of the Bulgarian National Radio, the National Social Sesucrity Institute and the National Revenue Agency, Kornelia Ninova clarified that some of the trade unions' demands had been submitted as proposals between first and second reading of the 2023 draft budget.
