Vazrazhdane organizes protest in support of Belene NPP project, blocks Sofia-Ruse road

Activists and supporters of the nationalist party Vazrazhdane organized a protest near Bulgarene village in Pleven region, closing off traffic along the Sofia-Ruse road. The protesters are saying the reactors intended for the Belene NPP project must not be sold to Ukraine.

Vazrazhdane MP Ivelin Parvanov, who took part in the protest, stated that “different lobbies defending other countries’ interests have been blocking the project for years.”
